Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: November 2026 · This policy applies to services provided by China Trip Design (ABN 90 751 130 736). It does not limit rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

1. Free discovery call

The discovery call is free of charge. There is nothing to refund and no obligation to proceed.

2. Deep consultation

The paid deep consultation (AUD $99) is non-refundable once the consultation has been completed. If you cancel with reasonable notice before the session, we will reschedule or refund it.

3. Planning packages

  • Our professional service fee is charged in two stages: 50% for trip strategy and the initial draft, and 50% for the final plan and booking coordination.
  • Cancellation before formal planning starts: your first payment is refundable.
  • Cancellation while a stage is in progress: we keep only a reasonable amount for work actually done and costs properly incurred, up to the fee for that stage, and refund the rest.
  • Cancellation after the initial draft has been delivered: we may keep the first stage fee if you simply decide not to continue. Any second stage work is accounted for in the same way.

4. Remote concierge support

Once your trip has started, unused remote support is not automatically refundable. If exceptional circumstances cut your trip short, contact us and we will consider each case on its merits.

5. Third-party bookings

Bookings made with third-party suppliers — such as guides, drivers, transfers, hotels, attractions and ticketing platforms — follow the cancellation and refund policies of those suppliers. We will pass on supplier terms to you before you commit and assist with cancellation requests where we can, but we cannot override supplier policies.

6. How to request a refund

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to lisayan@chinatripdesign.com, including your name, booking details and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within five business days.
